The HB International
Kitesurf Competition and Party will take place on Achill Island
from the 1st to the 3rd of November 2002. The focus of the weekend
is for party and competition, the party being an excellent thank
you form HB to the kitesurfers of Ireland for their support on the
HB Wind Addiction Tour 2002. The competition with all the weekend
will be very much focused towards kitesurf, attitude and fun and
not so much on technical ability, with prizes being given for the
usual 'best trick', 'hangtime', etc. but with other categories such
as 'most improved rider', 'best wipe-out', 'best rescue', 'loudest
shirt' etc. But all of this is linked to the kitesurf ethos Everyone at all levels and abilities is encouraged to enter as there is a very good chance you could win something. HB has demonstrated a great deal of insight, forethought and commitment to kitesurfing in Ireland and it is a wonderful opportunity for all the kitesurfers of Ireland and Europe to get together for a fun party and competition on one of the most north-westerly Islands of Europe.
